FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Thalictrum alpinum, alpine meadow-rue

Thalictrum alpinum; The Alpine Meadow-rue is quite a peculiar plant. The leaves are fern-like, resembling leaves of the maiden hair-fern. The small purple flowers have long stamens and anthers much protruding out of the flowers. It is common in all heather lands and grasslands.
It is member of the Ranunculaceae (buttercup) family.
