FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Montia fontana, Blinks

Montia fontana; The Blinks is a small plant with minute white flowers. The plants are light-green with opposite leaves. It grows among mosses in wet habitats. Widespread on Iceland but for the most barren highland deserts.
It is a member of the Purslane family (Portulacaceae).
