FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Lomatogonium rotatum, arctic felwort

Lomatogonium rotatum; the Arctic felwort is a small Gentian plantlet (about 10 to 15 cm.) that grows often near rivers. It is more common in the north but also grows along the rivers in the south and elsewhere. It can be recognized by the large petals (around buds) and violet flowers.
