FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Geranium sylvaticum, wood crane's-bill

Geranium sylvaticum; the wood-crane's-bill prefers sheltered places. It can be found in more lush vegetations like grass lands and birch country. It is common on Iceland and can be found in almost all parts of the country. As there are no other (common) crane's-bills on Iceland the plant can easily be identified.
It is a member of the cranesbill family (Geraniaceae).
