FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Epilobium alsinifolium, Chickweed willowherb

Epilobium alsinifolium; the chickweed willowherb is one of the smaller willowherb species. It can be identified by the slightly dentated leaf margins. It grows on wet grounds, often along water courses. It is common in most regions. It is a member of the Willowherb family (Onagraceae). The Icelandic name of this species is LindadĂșnurt.
