BIRDS OF ICELAND wren, Troglodytes troglodytes

Troglodytes troglodytes; the wren is a small bird living in woodlands (birch forests and birch scrubs. The upward pointed tail is very characteristic. Also, this small bird can make a lot of noise, in singing as well as in (emergency) calling. It builds a nest on the ground. The populations are rather sceptical to harsh winters.
